Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What type of healthcare providers are needed?
A: Physicians, PAs, NPs, Dentists, and Counselors
Q: I’m not a healthcare provider. Do you need other types of volunteers?
A: Yes. We always appreciate RN or MA volunteers to help with patient care and assist the physicians. We are always looking for community members to help in the front office scheduling appointments, answering phones, and filing. We also have a need for Spanish interpreters.
Q: How many hours would be required from the volunteer?
A: Volunteers can set their own hours. Most volunteers work one half day per week. You can decide if you would like to work a half day or full day. Don’t worry about needing to miss a day when necessary. It’s easy to cancel whenever conflicts arise.
Q: What documentation is required from volunteer providers?
A: Bring a copy of your current Utah license and any other certifications you have.
Q: What if my current license is expired?
A: Good news! If you are a physician and have an expired license or out-of-state license, there is a volunteer provider license we can help you obtain from DOPL. It only takes about two weeks and you can be up and volunteering in no time!
