Message from the Board Chair

“Since its inception in 1999, doctors, volunteers and donors have proven that we can take care of our own.”

-Paul Doxey, M.D. President and Chairman

Very first clinic est. Feb 19th 1999 at the Dixie Care and Share Homeless shelter treated 20 patients in two hours.

Over the last 14 years, over 30,000 patients have received services at the Clinic.

Local physician specialists have donated thousands of hours and surgeries, in many cases saving lives, to help our patients who have serious illness and no resources.

Uninsured patients in our community, approximately 21% of population, now have access to affordable healthcare services Monday through Friday on a donation basis.

No federal government funding, we operate solely on grants and donations.

Thanks to over 50 volunteers, including 20 physicians, 10 dentists, 1 psychiatrist, 5 counselors, and a small paid staff, our cost per patient visit this year was less than $23, the lowest of any safety net clinic in Utah.

Every patient is grateful for the care they receive. In 2013, the clinic received approximately $50,000 in donations from patients.

Education and access to affordable healthcare services prevents crisis management and keeps patients out of the emergency room as they learn to become more responsible for their health.

Reform in the Health Care System will address the needs of a portion of the uninsured. We will remain a safety net, providing quality affordable healthcare services to those in need.
