“A better answer to a better ending.”
Utah has one of the highest suicide rates in the nation; Southern Utah is the highest in the state. With this crisis in Southern Utah, The Doctors’ Volunteer Clinic is making an effort to address this difficulty people have in accessing mental health services in their critical time of need. We are launching a walk-in crisis clinic for mental health and those feeling suicidal so that anyone in the community can have a place to during this time they are most at risk. Currently, the Clinic offers this service at 12:00 Monday through Friday. Our goal is to expand these open walk-in crisis hours to 9:00 to 4:00.
We are all affected by the mental health issues in our communities. An open door, walk-in crisis clinic will be an invaluable benefit to our community. Regardless of income, insurance, employment, race, gender, etc, our door will always be open.
